It’s a simple question, but should you eat at restaurants open Christmas Day?

For many people, the choice to eat at restaurants open Christmas Day is simple. From family traditions to just not wanting to cook, that open sign is a holiday gift just waiting to be enjoyed. But will restaurants be open on Christmas Day,

Some restaurants are always traditionally open on Christmas Day. From Waffle House to Denny’s, many restaurants will be waiting to share some extra cheer on the holiday.

If you want a more substantial meal, other restaurants, like Chart House, Ruth Chris and even Fogo de Chao tend to keep their kitchens open on the holidays.

Since this year has been unprecedented, it is always best to check with the local restaurants to determine their operating hours and availability. Many things have changed.

Additionally, this holiday could be a good time to support local restaurants and independently run restaurants. With one in six restaurants shuttered this year, that holiday dinner could make a huge difference. Since restaurants are the heart of many local communities, that meal could be the gift that is even more meaningful this year.

The restaurant hustle is more than just a phrase, it is a mantra for the industry. Each day is a challenge to keep that dream alive. Still, many people are driven to do more, try harder and succeed.

If a favorite local restaurants are open on Christmas Day maybe it is time to grab a bite or place a to go order. It could be a way to give back.

And, not everyone celebrates Christmas, too. To remember that old Saturday Night Live song, there are many people who have already had their holiday celebrations. For them, December 25 is just another day.
