The Kids Baking Championship Season 9 premiere show baking is a colorful treat.

On the Kids Baking Championship Season 9 premiere, these 12 talented young bakers are ready to take on this baking challenge. The popular Food Network show encourages bakers, both young and old, to get in the kitchen and show their creativity.

According to the Food Network, the Kids Baking Championship Season 9 premiere episode, “Flying Colors” features the following:

"Hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman embrace the brushstroke decorating trend by asking the 12 young bakers to create colorful and delicious brushstroke mini cheesecakes."

As a first challenge, a mini cheesecake can be a difficult starting point. From creating the perfect flavor to ensuring that the cheesecake is technically executed well, there are many things that can go wrong (and right) in this challenge.

Additionally, the decorative aspect should give some insight into the new bakers. While Kids Baking Championship tries to balance food trends with some classic desserts, the brushstroke decorating trend isn’t as easy as it looks.

Still, kids can have a little less fear in these Food Network challenges. They are willing to be bold with their color choices as well as creative with their flavor profiles. It will be interesting to see how out of the box the bakers are willing to go.

New to the Kids Baking Championship Season 9 is that parents will be watching from backstage. Sometimes the parents are more invested in the success of the kids. Since many of the parents have probably seen their kids perfect their skill at home, it will be interesting to see how the parents reactions impact the kids’ success in the kitchen.
