Are you ready for the Worst Cooks in America Season 21 premiere? Joining Anne Burrell in the Food Network kitchen in Carla Hall. While these 14 recruits might not know a skillet from griddle, they are wanting to learn how to be better cooks. Can the Food Network chefs whip these recruits into shape?

According to the Food Network, the Worst Cooks in America Season 21 premiere features the following:

"Chefs Anne Burrell and Carla Hall ask 14 recruits to make their favorite homemade recipes, and the chefs choose their teams. Then the recruits must replicate their chef mentor’s favorite Asian takeout dish before the least successful cooks are sent home. Former recruits react to a Derby Day-themed episode of Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition featuring Chef Anne and Chef Tyler Florence."

Looking at the baseline challenge, a favorite homemade recipe could give some insight into the recruits. While it is clear that these 14 people cannot cook, they might have some knowledge about food. If their favorite food has some flavor, it could help them within this Food Network competition.

It is clear that season after season, the cooks just seem to get worst. While many people have started to cook more in the past year, it will be interesting to see if any of those skills translate into this new season.

While the baseline challenge might give some insight on the recruits preferred cuisines and flavors, the second challenge could prove to be difficult. Asian takeout food takes some skill. From frying to a well cooked noodle, the recruits have a difficult task ahead of them. Before they tackle flavors, they need to be able to execute just basic cooking skills.

Bringing Carla Hall into the kitchen should be a fun addition. While Alex Guarnaschelli seemed to be in disbelief last season, Carla might be able to find some positive comments in this cooking debacle.
