Can you guess the secret ingredient in Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 2?

As the chefs prepare for their first dinner service, Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 2 throws them another curve ball. While Gordon Ramsay has high expectations in Hell’s Kitchen, he wants to see both creativity and execution. Did one of the chefs really miss the mark with this secret ingredient?

Thanks to FOX, FoodSided has this exclusive clip from Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 2. While everyone knew that Las Vegas was going to be a season like no other, no one would have ever expected a chef to present this dish to Gordon Ramsay.

No this clip is not from Worst Cooks, but this cooking mistake is probably a first for Hell’s Kitchen. From a bad cooking technique (where’s the Microplane) to forgetting to taste a dish, Kevin made too many mistakes in a single dish. It seems quite possible that his time in Hell’s Kitchen will be limited.

Truthfully, this clip is almost baffling to any cook. How could a chef think that a random potato would mysteriously end up in his dish? More importantly, how does a professional chef not know the difference between a piece of potato and a piece of Parmesan?

Thinking back to last week’s Hell’s Kitchen premiere, Kenneth made another mistake. Although no one could believe that he plated his dish 20 minutes early, it was more concerning that he scorched the chicken and didn’t fix it. While things can get heated in Hell’s Kitchen, no one should serve Gordon burnt food.

But, that cooking mistake isn’t the whole episode. Here’s the Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 Episode 2 synopsis.

"In their first individual challenge, the chefs are tasked with creating a shrimp dish worthy of the Hell’s Kitchen opening night menu. As further incentive, the winner of the challenge also receives a punishment pass from Chef Ramsay to be able to skip a future punishment. Then, both teams are put to the test as they take on their first dinner service with the most expansive menu Hell’s Kitchen has ever seen in the all-new “Shrimply Spectacular” episode of HELL’S KITCHEN airing Thursday, Jan. 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

As stated in some previews, Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 Episode 2 will have two chefs eliminated. Even though many of these chefs are quite talented and have a stacked resume, they have to perform in Hell’s Kitchen. No one can rest on their accolades. it is perform or go home.

After the premiere episode, one of the changes seen in this season is the kinder, gentler Gordon. The moment during the dinner with the Blue Team where Gordon shared part of his personal story shows that he is passionate about his craft. While many people think that the yelling is harsh, he expects these chefs to put their heart on a plate. If they aren’t up for the task, it is best to walk out of the kitchen.

Will potato gate be the most shocking part of Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 2 or will there be more shocking twists in the kitchen? Here’s how to watch.
