Grab you beads and your mask because Universal Mardi Gras 2021 is ready to celebrate. While this year’s event will be somewhat modified, the Universal Orlando chefs have curated a global menu that will have everyone living the good life. Are you ready to go on a global tasting journey?
This year’s Universal Orlando celebration is called Mardi Gras 2021: International Flavors of Carnival. From February 6 through March 28, guests will enjoy a culinary journey with over 70 delicious dishes to savor. From the bold Brazilian flavors to the comforting German schnitzel to those class Cajun cuisine dishes, it is a feast to behold.
Although the complete menu has yet to be revealed, foodies will want to sample it all. Luckily, the tasting lanyards are returning. This option is a great way to sample all the dishes.
From special dishes within Universal Studios to themed dishes throughout Universal City Walk and Universal Orlando Hotels, the whole area is embracing the Mardi Gras theme. With so many ways to celebrate, guests will want to make several visits during the event.

Although the classic concerts have been paused this year, there are many other activities to enjoy. The spectacular Mardi Gras floats will be on display. Similar to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloons that were part of the holidays celebration, guests can marvel in the intricate detail of these floats. Although no one will be throwing beads as you pass by, the floats and music bring that spirit of good times.
In addition, the Mardi Gras Tribute Store is returning this year. For both Halloween and the holidays, the Tribute Store has been a must visit. It is an immersive experience full of so many details you really have to slowly stroll through the store.
