If you make this Citrus Garlic Chicken recipe, here are a few hints. The marinade needs to be cooked to be used as a sauce. Since the marinade was used with raw chicken, this step is imperative.
While this recipe suggests grilling or pan frying, a cast iron pan would be a great choice. It would get a strong sear on the chicken thighs.
Although many people might think to use this recipe on chicken wings, chicken thighs add to the flavor of this dish. The chicken thighs can stand up to all the flavors and make it a hearty dish. A boneless thigh could be a possibility, but it could change the flavor a little.
Also, you can play with the flavors with this recipe. Instead of a red habanero sauce, you could use the MTN Dew Hot sauce. That choice would bring out more citrus flavors with the heat.
Overall, this recipe could become a favorite. Whether you are a MTN Dew fan or just enjoy a tasty chicken recipe, this Citrus Garlic Chicken recipe is a winner.
