Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 3 preview: Who’s Caesar?
In Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 3, the salad course can get a little messy.
After the first dinner service and two chefs out of Hell’s Kitchen, in Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 3, the chefs must prove that they listen and apply knowledge. Even the simplest tasks have big consequences. Which chef is up to the task?
According to FOX, Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 3, “Hell Caesar” features the following:
"After watching a demonstration by Chef Ramsay, the chefs are tasked with perfectly re-creating his take on Caesar salad, which they then need to deliver to him on a scooter. Later, a scrambled dinner service leads to Chef Ramsay kicking a team out of the kitchen for the first time this season in the all-new “Hell Caesar!” episode of HELL’S KITCHEN airing Thursday, Jan. 21 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."
While this challenge does have an element of humor thanks to the scooter delivery, there is an important lesson within the task. The chefs are being asked to re-create the recipe. It isn’t about adding their own flare, inserting their point of view or modifying the iconic Ramsay dish. it is about listening, applying and executing a recipe to the letter.
Although Gordon Ramsay wants to learn about the chefs’ palates and their creative vision, he needs to see that a chef can execute a dish as it is intended. While a Caesar salad might seem like a simple task, it is harder than it looks. There is nothing worse than an over dressed salad. With little room for error, the chefs could see their chances go up in flames.
Of course, the dinner service brings the drama in each episode. As seen in this episode clip, there might be more of a show than anyone had anticipated.
While there are many unexpected things that happen in Hell’s Kitchen, no one wants too much of any chef. Shouldn’t it be better to let the food on the plate be the star of the show? In some ways, this visual is more of a Kitchen Nightmare.
Beyond the amusement of seeing a full moon, the dinner service needs to shine. Since it is only the second dinner service, the chefs are still learning each others strengths as well as rhythm of the kitchen. Beyond executing their own dishes, they have to work as a team. When one fails, they all suffer.
As one team rises to the top this week, which team will see their fire snubbed out? Here’s how to watch Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 3, “Hell Caesar.”
