Move over Whatchamacallit bar because the Whozeewhatzit Bar is here
What’s in a candy bar name? For the newest Hershey candy bar, Whozeewhatzit seems to capture the excitement over the new candy offering. Even though the name is a mouthful, that first bite will make you excited to say it again, and maybe that name.
For years, the classic Whatachamacallit was the candy bar with the humorous name and big flavors. The layers of flavors and extras brought people back to enjoy bite after bite. Just like a name that is always on the tip of your tongue, this candy bar has always been that flavor that you enjoy because there is just something special about it.
Last year, Hershey asked its fans to name the new Whatchamacallit candy bar. Since candy fans are always a creative bunch, the more than 43,000 entries were impressive. Which name would capture all those layers of flavors and textures. Lisa M. from Framingham, Massachusetts earned the honored distinction.
Jenna Hamm, Whatchamacallit Brand Manager, said, “The new Whozeewhatzit bar has all the wacky, crazy, chew-tastic perks that Whatchamacallit fans love, plus a few more. There were lots of great submissions but none that captured the bar’s irresistible characteristics while still paying homage to the beloved Whatchamacallit brand quite like the name Whozeewhatzit.”
As the new candy bar rolls out in February 2021, people will have to try one to understand the deliciousness that the Hershey candy offerings. Truthfully, it is all about that peanut butter crème layer. Just like other Hershey candies have the perfect peanut butter flavor, that peanut butter crème in contrast to the rice crisps and covered in chocolate is irresistible.
While the candy bar is delicious on its own, it is quite tasty as a topping to some vanilla ice cream. Consider cutting the candy bar into pieces and putting it on top of the ice cream. It could become your next must have dessert mash-up.
The Whozeewhatzit will be available in both a standard and a king size option. Starting in February 2021, they will be available nationwide.
