Spring Baking Championship Season 7 episode 3 brings back the classic question, which came first, the chicken or eggs. While that question has stumped many, these Food Network bakers need to bring a tasty answer. Who will solve the question once and for all?
According to the Food Network, Spring Baking Championship Season 7 episode 3, “Spring Bunnies and Chickens, Oh My!” features the following:
"Spring is the season of bunnies and chicks! Host Ali Khan challenges the bakers to contemplate the question of which came first, the chicken or the egg, as they create beautiful edible eggs with a surprise flavor and decorative spring chick. Then the bakers face Spring Baking Championship’s first ever bread challenge as they try to impress judges Kardea Brown, Nancy Fuller and Duff Goldman with their spectacular hot cross bunnies — giant bread bunnies inspired by the traditional hot cross bun."
In some ways, edible eggs are more difficult than it seems. While a flat, egg shaped dessert might be doable, the Food Network baking competition is never that easy. It will be interesting to see how that incredible egg is turned into some fantastical dessert.
For the main challenge, the Food Network bakers are taking on a food trend that filled many home kitchens, bread. While Spring Baking Championship hasn’t tackled bread, there is a good reason why this food has been out of the kitchen. Great bread takes forever.
Making a great hot cross bun is not simple. Adding to the mix the idea that the food has to be shaped like a bunny, the bakers have a lot of areas that can go wrong. While under-baked bread is a possibility, it isn’t the only mistake that could be on the plate.
