Are the bakers feeling the love in Spring Baking Championship Season 7 episode 4? While the first three challenges have seen some hard falls on the Spring Board, this team challenge might not have everyone smelling the roses. Could another upset be brewing?
According to the Food Network, Spring Baking Championship Season 7 episode 4, “Spring Romance” features the following:
"It’s team challenge week and love is in the air as host Ali Khan pairs up the bakers for some romantic challenges. First, the teams must create a beautiful proposal dessert plate for a spring couple ready to pop the question. Then it’s all about baking a spring wedding cake, but each baker must make half the cake without seeing their teammate’s work because love is blind! Judges Kardea Brown, Nancy Fuller and Duff Goldman decide if the halves come together for a perfect match and a winning cake."
A proposal dessert plate could go in many directions. If the bakers have to create a way to present a ring, it could be quite difficult. The balance of a great dessert and a stunning showpiece is not easy.
On the other hand, the dessert plate can simply tell a story. From a particular scene or a theme, there are many ways to celebrate that special moment for a couple. Even if there isn’t a big reveal for a ring, it can be a memorable dessert.
For the main heat challenge, the bakers could reach their breaking point. Creating half of a wedding cake without being able to see their partner’s cake is almost impossible. Even though a baker can be talented, the reality is that a blind baking challenge raises the difficulty level.
As some of the bakers, like Stephanie, appreciate that wedding cakes take both creativity and skill, creating just half a wedding cake seems almost impossible. From structure to decoration, the cake could crumble before the first dance.
