Is it time for your shot? Krispy Kreme wants to celebrate all those people who have been vaccinated with a free doughnut. Even if you didn’t get your smiley face band aid at the vaccination site, a free Original Glazed doughnut should bring a smile to many faces. Is the Red Light calling you yet?

According to a Krispy Kreme statement, “guests who show a valid COVID-19 vaccination card at any Krispy Kreme shop in the U.S. can receive a free iconic Original Glazed doughnut – anytime, any day, even every day – through the remainder of 2021.” Now, getting a free doughnut isn’t the only reason to get vaccinated, but it a sweet treat for that shot in the arm.

As the country passes the one year anniversary of the pandemic, the reality is that people are longing for a return to a new normalcy. While care and caution need to be on everyone’s agenda, many people are longing for that hug from grandma, that after work happy hour that doesn’t involve a screen and a sense of hope for a better day.

Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme Chief Marketing Officer, commented, “We all want to get COVID-19 behind us as fast as possible and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them.”

In addition, the brand will be delivering free doughnuts to select vaccination centers. These free doughnuts deliveries will occur in the upcoming weeks.

This free doughnut offer is another example of how Krispy Kreme strives to bring smiles to people. Throughout the past year, doughnuts have been one of the ways that people have found a taste of happiness. It might not be the grandest gestures, but it a really sweet one.

For the Spring, “Be Sweet Weekends” will allow guests who purchase a dozen doughnuts to purchase an additional dozen for a $1. Packed with a special smiley-face doughnut, this offer will be available for “nine consecutive Saturday‑Sundays, March 27 through May 23.”
