Spring Baking Championship Season 7 episode 6 preview: Flower fiesta
As the weather warms, the flowers bloom and Spring Baking Championship is ready to bring that beauty to the table. What seeds are being sowed in this Food Network episode?
According to Food Network, this Spring Baking Championship episode, “Spring Flower Fiesta” features the following:
"Spring bursts into bloom as host Ali Khan challenges the bakers to use pressed and dried flowers in their party desserts. Then they get to pull out all the spring stops in a flower fantasy cake that features a flower flavor such as hibiscus, rose, jasmine and elderflower. Judges Kardea Brown, Nancy Fuller and Duff Goldman choose the winner."
This Spring Baking Championship episode might be quite difficult. Although flowers can be a lovely decoration, the reality is that florals can be a tricky ingredient. No one wants a dessert to taste like potpourri.
While the pre-heat might be challenging, the visuals for the main heat should be stunning. Given some of the recent desserts, the decorations should be exquisite on these fantasy cakes. From bright colors to delicate details, the bakers need to deliver.
Although the bakers should be able to use elderflower in a cake, rose and jasmine might be more difficult. Add to those elements the potential twist, the reality is that these bakers need to prove that they are worthy of the title.
