Tournament of Champions Season 2 episode 6: Who makes the semifinals?
With three quarterfinal battles remaining, Tournament of Champions Season 2 episode 6 might have another trick in the Food Network kitchen. While the global randomizer looks to keep the chefs guessing, could the outcome be another twist?
According to Food Network, Tournament of Champions Season 2 episode 6, “End of the Quarterfinals” features the following:
"Guy Fieri is joined by the six remaining quarterfinal chefs to contend with the dreaded Randomizer and face off against each other in sudden death battles. By the end, the top four chefs should be ready for battle in the finale, but on Tournament of Champions, anything can happen!"
Looking at this round, it continues the rematch theme. While the last episode’s battle of Brooke Williamson versus Michael Voltaggio offered the same result as Tournament of Champions season 1, the same scenario may not happen in this episode. Could Christian Petroni score an upset?
While upsets could happen, the interesting battle should be Antonia LoFaso against Jet Tila. The global randomizer could help Tila. Then again, it is not a given that the kitchen tool could be outside of his wheelhouse. Maybe that Swedish pancake pan could be part of this battle.
The battle that will probably have the most discussion will be Tiffani Faison versus Darnell Ferguson. While Faison pulled a big upset in round one, she needs to continue that momentum. As seen in last year’s Tournament of Champions, Ferguson fell after his big upset. Will history repeat itself?
Lastly, the synopsis says that anything can happen. Could a tie occur in one of these battles? That scenario hasn’t happened yet. What would happen if there was a tie? Would there be a new sudden death cook-off?
Then again, some Food Network fans have been able to make some good predictions about this Tournament of Champions season. Wonder if someone has already determined the ultimate winner?
