Dunkin expands its dairy alternatives to include coconutmilk
It might not be the lime in the coconut, but Dunkin has brought coconutmilk to its dairy alternative beverage lineup. As of April 28, coconutmilk will join almondmilk and oatmilk as non-dairy choices on the Dunkin menu.
Consumers are wanting more beverage options. It is more than just another visually impressive drink to make people thirsty. Beverages need to check all the right boxes. The old phrase variety is the spice of life might take on a new meaning when it comes to non-dairy beverage options.
Jill Nelson, Vice President, Marketing & Culinary at Dunkin said, “(t)he start of the summer season is the perfect time to expand our menu with coconutmilk, another exciting non-dairy choice for our guests. From our colorful Dunkin’ Coconut Refreshers to our creamy Coconutmilk Iced Latte, Dunkin’ is crafting the coolest coconutmilk beverages to keep our guests refreshed and running, throughout summer and all year-long.”
What new Dunkin beverages feature coconutmilk?
While guests can request coconutmilk to any hot and iced beverages, Dunkin is featuring a few special new options to entice guests to take a sip. While that Coconutmilk Iced Latte can be perfect on a warm day, the Dunkin’ Refreshers lineup is getting three new additions.
The three new Dunkin’ Coconut Refreshers are Pink Strawberry, Golden Peach and Purple Pomegranate. While the beverages’ names reveal part of the flavor, each sip has even more to offer. The Refreshers have B vitamins which can help to give a little energy pick me up. Combining the flavored fruit concentrate with the coconutmilk, the beverages are tropical, fruity and invigorating.
Looking at the three new flavors, the most exciting option is the Golden Peach. The combination of the sweet, juicy peach with the tart, exotic passionfruit will definitely get people’s attention. In some ways, this beverage could inspire a whole new flavor combination for some summer desserts.
The Pink Strawberry could also be a favorite. The strawberry is combined with dragonfruit, which seems to be having a moment this summer.
Lastly, Purple Pomegranate seems to be continuing a recent beverage trend for Dunkin. After the blueberry matcha offering, it seems that blueberry flavors can be a delightful pair for many flavors.
While these new coconutmilk beverages may entice guests to make a special visit, the truth is that Dunkin’ has been a leader in the plant-based beverage offerings. As one of the first brands to make oatmilk nationally available, Dunkin appreciates that guests want options. By having a robust menu, it ensures that everyone can make a run to their local store.
