Disney’s Magic Bake-Off brings Disney inspired desserts to Tastemade

Grab your Mickey chef coat and prepare to bake because Disney’s Magic Bake-Off is partnering with Tastemade. In this kids’ baking competition, the kitchen will be full of magical moments, a few unexpected outcomes and sweet endings. In some ways, it sounds like a Disney story at its core.

Guiding these young bakers are Dara Renee, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and Issac Ryan Brown from Raven’s Home. In addition, Graciela Gomez, Disneyland resort pastry chef, will share secrets and tips to create the most memorable Disney inspired cakes.

Emily Mraz, head of Development at Tastemade, said “Disney and Tastemade share a love for storytelling and are always looking for dynamic ways to engage audiences, so working together in this new way represents a truly special opportunity.”

Anyone who has been to Disney Parks appreciates that Disney food is more than just Mickey shaped pretzels and ice cream. From the culinary creative flavors to the stunning visuals to telling a story on a plate, each element comes together in an inspiring way.

Why is Disney’s Magic Bake-Off an inspired match for Tastemade?

According to Claire McCabe, vice president, Alternative Programming and Development, Disney Branded Television, the company wanted a unique approach for the Disney Channel’s first foray into a baking competition and Tastemade offers that scenario. Specifically she said, “With our magnetic hosts, Dara Reneé and Issac Ryan Brown, leading the way for a group of talented young bakers, there’s no limit to the imagination, fun and magic this series will deliver.”

Throughout the series, teams of two race to create a Disney-inspired cake. With the help of Tastemade’s signature recipes, a fully stocked pantry, and possibly a sprinkling of pixie dust, the teams will face twists, turns, challenges and hopefully have fun along the way. A Disney Baking Champion will be declared in each episode and the winning recipe will be featured across social media platforms.

Although full episode and challenge details have not been shared, it leads both Disney fans and foodies to expect magical treats to come from the Tastemade kitchen. While the Tastemade recipes are always approachable, there is a sense of awe and excitement when that food hits the plate.

Given that Disney themes are incorporated into each challenge, viewers should expect to see some popular characters or shows. Even though the bakers are kids, everyone should anticipate that these cakes will be impressive in both design and flavor.

While Disney’s Magic Bake-Off production has commenced, the official summer premiere date has not yet been announced.
