Teacher Appreciation Week acknowledges educators’ efforts with specials
After the past year, parents are even more aware that Teacher Appreciation Week deserves special attention. Educators can be the unsung heroes that are the support system that gives children the willingness to strive for more, to keep that curiosity alive, and to celebrate the accomplishments both big and small. Although one week may be just a token of gratitude, the effort is always appreciated.
As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, which is celebrated May 3 through May 7, many brands and businesses are looking to honor, support and celebrate educators. From special promotions to free food, there are a wide range of offerings this week.
And, anyone can celebrate a teacher in their lives. From a child’s teacher to a former mentor who inspired a lifelong career, there is always a reason to say thank you.

Outshine
Do you know a teacher who has “Let the Joy Shine Through?” Outshine is asking everyone to share a story about a teacher who has made a difference in their lives on Instagram. By commenting with “a minimum of two sentences” on the brand’s Instagram page, everyone is encouraged to share why their teacher deserves a “$10,000 classroom makeover.”
From the teacher who stayed connected to students even when classes felt totally distant to the educator to just listened as a children struggled to find their confidence to achieve, there are many people who were that beacon of light during difficult times.
While only one teacher will earn the ultimate prize, all the teachers recognized in the comments deserve their moment to shine. Hopefully, these words of gratitude inspire others to share a word of thanks.
