Need a delicious grilling recipe? While Daphne Oz might have her grill going all year long, summer and cooking over the flame go hand in hand. Although some home cooks might be more masterful at the grill than others, the reality is that anyone can handle the heat. It all comes down to finding the right recipe.

As a WW celebrity partner, chef and cookbook author, Daphne Oz knows how to build flavors around grilling. From that slight touch of char that adds a depth of flavor to the perfect sear, the grill can be a cooks best friend.

At the same time, many people are looking for healthy food options. While grilled vegetables can be the star of the plate, many people find that creating balance in a menu can help people stay on track. When that craving hits, there are creative ways to satisfy it without ditching all the good food choices.

Recently, WW released its WW’s new Year-Round Grilling Cookbook. During an Instagram cooking demo, Oz shared some simple, approachable and doable grilling tips that anyone can master. The grill isn’t just for one person in the house. Everyone can learn to master the flame.

Daphne Oz shares some simple, approachable tips and a delicious grilling recipe.

In some ways, grilling is one of the easiest ways to cook food. Although the method might seem difficult because of the fire, the reality is that the grill does all the work. But, cooks have to let that happen.

Simply stated, Oz said to resist the urge to flip. According to Oz, “It’s tempting to keep flipping food around on the grill — but you really don’t want to touch it too much to maximize flavor with char and sizzle. You don’t need to constantly flip — or press!!! — food down. Just sit back, relax, and get ready to eat!”

While this idea doesn’t necessarily mean that the cook should imbibe into too many 5 o’clock fuzz cocktails, the reality is that grilling doesn’t mean stare at the flames. Similar to the old concept, a watch pot never boils, the food isn’t going to cook better by standing over it.

During the cooking demo, Oz created the delicious grilling recipe for Grilled White Pizza with an Everything Bagel Crust. While she recommended this food as a starter, it could be a meal, too. Grilled pizza could a Friday night summer favorite.

Although some people might consider pizza that super indulgent treat, it doesn’t have to be a gluttony of goodness. With a few swaps, that pizza is void of all those pesky “g” words.

Oz said, “I also like to keep it in balance – when I’m eating healthy, I still want those meals to be memorable and celebratory. This is the perfect example of how you can have your pizza and eat it too.”
