Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 premiere video exclusive: Need a hand chef?
With the Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 premiere on May 31, these Young Gun chefs are ready to impress Gordon Ramsay. While Kori Sutton might be the reigning Hell’s Kitchen queen, the reality is that there are several new, younger chefs ready to challenge her position on the pass. Can these new chefs live up to the high expectations of Gordon Ramsay?
The premise of Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 is that the younger chefs are trying to earn their positions within the culinary world. While no one should say “ok boomer” to Chef Ramsay, the reality is that these younger chefs will offer both good and bad elements to the kitchen brigade. Being green isn’t necessarily a detriment, but having poor cooking skills will get a fiery retort.
Ahead of the Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 premiere, FOX graciously shared this exclusive clip with FoodSided. Does this aspiring chef need a hand?
Although Chef Ramsay has been served and has eaten a variety of creative dishes and interesting food choices over the years, this incident might be a new one. No one ever wants that the distinction of being the chef who literally served Gordon Ramsay poop.
While Hell’s Kitchen has seen some chefs go from awful mistakes to great highs, it remains to be seen if Chef Matt, the food vlogger, can recover from this mistake. Unfortunately, unlike a Las Vegas magic trick, this cooking mistake was no sleight of hand.
Looking ahead to the competition as a whole, all of the chefs are 23 years old or younger. Although not the same has MasterChef Junior, younger chefs might be more willing to experiment with flavor or think outside of the box. Then again, they need to appreciate classic techniques and their position in the kitchen.
While some chefs are just starting their culinary careers, several are executive chefs. Even if age is just a number, Hell’s Kitchen is not just another culinary competition. The chefs need to prove to Chef Ramsay that they are willing to earn that title and position.
Given the premise of Hell’s Kitchen season 20, it will be interesting to see how the show adapts its challenges to the less-seasoned chefs. While many people know the basic premise of the show, the FOX juggernaut is never afraid to shake things up a little. As seen with Season 19, the move to Las Vegas added a spark to the show. This “young guns” version might have even more excitement in store.
Be sure to watch the Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 premiere on Monday, May 31 at 8 p.m. EST.
And, don’t miss MasterChef Legends premiering on Wednesday, June 2 at 8 p.m. EST followed by a new episode of Crime Scene Kitchen.
Do you have any predictions for the new season of Hell’s Kitchen? Do you think that Gordon Ramsay will become frustrated or enamored with these young guns?
