PepsiCo and FAT Brands expand their partnership and add exclusive beverages

As more people discover that food is just better with Pepsi, PepsiCo and FAT Brands, which includes Fatburger, Johnny Rockets and more, will be serving up to a dozen different beverage choices at its restaurants. From the classic Pepsi to MTN Dew to even Dr. Pepper, there will be a refreshing beverage to quench any thirst.

In addition to classic beverage brands, this new partnership will include exclusive beverages. The first new beverage will be the new Fatburger Lemonade. Although the exact flavor description was not released, this type of specialty beverage is exciting for both the guests and the brands.

Unique beverages often entice guests to come back time and again to satisfy that taste craving. As seen with the recent Which Wich MTN DEW exclusive beverage offering, the special beverage can highlight a brand’s menu items.

Why is this PepsiCo and FAT Brands partnership important?

For PepsiCo, the company appreciates that a beverage reflects a person’s taste preferences. Many people do not just ask for a “cola” because beverage flavors are not a cup of sameness.

Hugh Roth, Chief Customer Officer, PepsiCo Foodservice, said, “At PepsiCo, we offer a diverse array of choices across our food and beverage portfolio to bring smiles to people’s faces and meet their individual tastes and preferences.”

Finding a way to satisfy guest yet still stay true to their own brands is important to FAT Brands. Andy Wiederhorn, CEO of FAT Brands, said “we’re embracing flexibility for customization and brand innovation based on the needs of each of our unique restaurant brands and their identity. This collaboration will enable our restaurants to deliver even more fresh, authentic and tasty experiences to consumers.”

While this new partnership will roll out this summer, the FAT Brands are celebrating the idea that burgers are better with Pepsi on National Burger Day, May 28. Fatburger, Johnny Rockets and Elevation Burger are part of the #BetterWithPepsi promotion. Guests who share a photo of their burger with a Pepsi can get a beverage rebate for that purchase.
