Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 episode 3 preview: Slippery when wet
Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 episode 3 has the Young Guns tackling a first for the popular culinary competition. What slippery challenge does Gordon Ramsay have in store in this episode?
According to FOX, Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 episode 3, “Young Guns: Come Hell or High Water!” features the following:
"The chefs are challenged to replicate the very first challenge in HELL’S KITCHEN history – breaking down squid perfectly for Chef Ramsay. Later, it’s “Chicken Gate” when Gordon discovers the Blue Team has served up raw chicken during Dinner Service in the all-new “Young Guns: Come Hell or High Water!” episode of HELL’S KITCHEN airing Monday, June 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."
Looking at the first challenge, the chefs might wish that they had a double dinner service instead of breaking down a squid. After several issues with improperly cleaned shrimp dishes and other problematic execution issues, breaking down a squid might have the chefs feeling like they are drowning under the pressure. Hopefully, that squid isn’t on the Hell’s Kitchen dinner service menu.
Although the chefs have only had one dinner service, the first experience was not a good one. The mistakes were plentiful, especially on the Blue Team. Whether it was nerves, inexperience or something else, these chefs need to focus and get the job done.
As seen in the synopsis, chicken is going to cause even more problems in Hell’s Kitchen. While Matthew learned the unfortunate lesson of never giving Gordon Ramsay raw chicken, it seems that another chef might have that fate, too.
Given that a kitchen brigade has to work as a team, the “chicken gate” debacle is not instilling confidence in Gordon Ramsay. In this scenario, age isn’t the problem. It is inexperience in handing the pressure filled situation.
