Sometimes one clue can lead the bakers down the wrong path. In Crime Scene Kitchen episode 4, the right decision can be as important as the right measurements in a recipe.

According to FOX, Crime Scene Kitchen episode 4, “Decisions, Decisions” features the following:

"The bakers head back into the kitchen to take on a new delicious challenge. The best dessert detectives will continue on in the competition and the duo that falls short will head home in the all-new “Decisions, Decisions” episode of CRIME SCENE KITCHEN airing Wednesday, June 16 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

Fans of this FOX baking competition are learning that the clues are not always what they seem. Although there is often a red herring in the kitchen, the bakers are starting to appreciate that they have to make what is presented, not what they “want” the clues to say. There is a big difference between the two.

As seen in last week’s episode, the bakers are starting to understand the clues better. When the competition is less about solving the baking mystery and more about making the best tasting dessert, food television fans have something extra to sink their teeth into.

Although some at home bakers might not be in the kitchen solving the baking mystery, they are learning some important food tips while watching this show. From the type of flour used in a pastry to the proper way to make a curd, it isn’t always fun and games in the baking world.

The biggest takeaway from watching Crime Scene Kitchen is that the best bakers might not always be safe. Even though all these baking teams might be able to create the tastiest pies, cakes and other desserts in their own kitchen, it may not apply in this culinary competition. Getting that dessert wrong when everyone gets it right could have a baking team leaving the kitchen in defeat.
