Popeyes Chicken Nuggets look to start a new restaurant revolution

Everyone loves that chicken from Popeyes, and the new Popeyes Chicken Nuggets are another reason to make a visit to that popular quick service restaurant. Could there be a nuggets showdown coming?

This summer has been filled with new offerings announcements. From 12 days of giveaways to the new lemonades, Popeyes wants everyone to know that it is more than just a chicken sandwich and some biscuits.

Staring on July 27, Popeyes chicken nuggets will join the menu. The “white meat chicken breast nuggets” are prepared fresh daily. Using the brand’s signature flour, batter system and buttermilk, these poppable chicken pieces have that crispy texture that people crave with an always juicy, tender chicken.

For many people, there is something just irresistible about Popeyes fried chicken, but occasionally people do not want chicken on the bone or a sandwich. Even though there are tenders on the menu, the smaller pieces are just fun to eat. Whether it is the size, the breading to chicken ratio or something else, nuggets have a wide appeal.

What should you serve with Popeyes Chicken Nuggets?

While the new Popeyes chicken nuggets are only available in a classic flavor, guests can customize the food experience with a wide range of sauces. The signature sauces available are the following flavors: Bayou Buffalo, BoldBQ, Blackened Ranch, Buttermilk Ranch, Mardi Gras Mustard, and Sweet Heat.

Although Popeyes did not describe the specifics of each flavor, the six options seem to cover the flavor spectrum. Popeyes seems to have put its own spin on some classics. Maybe that Mardi Gras Mustard has a little extra kick or tanginess. Also, a Blackened Ranch seems to be a nice nod to that Louisiana Kitchen world. Sometimes ranch needs a little extra taste of pepper.

The new Popeyes chicken nuggets will be available starting July 27. They will be sold in options from 4 piece to 36 pieces. While no one can predict if this new menu offering will create the same social media buzz as that chicken sandwich, many people will want a taste of these nuggets.
