For many people, planning those weeknight dinners can be a chore. While healthy eating might be a priority, the idea of shopping, prepping and planning for that delicious dinner can lead people to placing another to-go order. Luckily, the Freshly Purely Plant Menu has the solution to all those lingering questions.

In the past year, Freshly has become a leader in the prepared meal space. After being acquired by Nestle USA, the brand now “ships more than one million meals per week to customers in 48 states.” While the brand has a vast amount of options in its line-up, this recent expansion responds to the increasing demand for plant-based food choices.

According to Mike Wystrach, Freshly Founder and CEO. “We recognize that it can be challenging to eat a more plant-based diet without sacrificing on taste; but with the launch of Freshly’s Purely Plant, we’re laser-focused on delivering a variety of delicious, convenient, and better-for-you meal options, while also supporting flexitarians looking to make simple changes towards a more plant-based lifestyle.” By giving consumers convenience yet focusing on their feedback, it is a big win for the brand.

What food is on the Freshly Purely Plant Menu?

Included in this new offering are six items. Each one is packed with healthy eating nutrients and ingredients. More importantly, the variety of flavors is enticing. For anyone who thinks that plant-based food could be boring, these offerings will prove them wrong.

The menu items include Rainbow Harvest Plant-Based Burger with Sticky Carrot Jam & Summer Veggie Sauté, Unwrapped Salsa Verde Burrito with Purely Plant Crumbles, Indian-Spiced Chickpea Curry Bowl with Basmati Rice, Lentils & Veggies, Farmstead Veggie Baked Pasta with Seasonal Veggies & Creamy Marinara, Buffalo Cauliflower Mac & Cheeze with Garlicky Broccoli, and Middle Eastern Falafel Bowl with Garlicky Tahini Sauce & Whole Grains. While it might be hard to pick a favorite, a few items really stand out.

While many companies offer a plant-based burger, Freshly’s take the flavor up to a whole new level. The carrot jam is a great alternative to a bacon jam. Plus, creamy avocado adds a richness that makes the whole bite feel quite decadent. No one would guess that this burger leans towards the healthy eating spectrum.

The Buffalo Cauliflower Mac & Cheeze with Garlicky Broccoli showcases how tahini brings  nuance to a classic dish. While the hot sauce is flavorful, no one will notice that there isn’t any dairy in the bowl. Now the ultimate comfort food doesn’t have a spoonful of that pesky “g” word.
