As the chefs yearn for that coveted black jacket, Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 episode 10 might create havoc that no one anticipated. Have these Young Guns finally pushed Gordon Ramsay to the edge?

According to FOX, Hell’s Kitchen Season 20 episode 10 features the following:

"The chefs take on the classic HELL’S KITCHEN Blind Taste Test challenge with messy consequences. Later, the strategic use of a punishment pass makes one team come unglued during dinner service, and both sides must pull it together in the all-new “More Than a Sticky Situation” episode of HELL’S KITCHEN airing Monday, Aug. 16 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

The Blind Taste Test challenge always brings great insight to the chef’s ability to appreciate flavors. Granted, taking away the ability to see a food can cause confusion, the reality is that some of these food options should be easy for the chefs.

While many people have a good laugh about the wrong answers, the chefs need to pay attention during this challenge. The chefs who do well tend to impress Gordon Ramsay. More importantly, those chefs often make it to the end of the season. Just look at the finalists from Hell’s Kitchen Season 19.

As seen in the previous episode, it appears that tensions between the chefs have been growing. The group dish in last episode’s challenge showed that the blame game is still at work.

More importantly, dinner service is not as efficient as it should be. From under-cooked proteins to poorly plated entrees, these mistakes shouldn’t be happening at this point in the competition. After 10 weeks in Hell’s Kitchen, everyone should be able to properly cook a fish filet or a NY Strip.

Given that this cooking competition is a job audition, the chefs need to be more thoughtful with all the food that they put on the plate. Pointing fingers and passing the buck cannot happen with fewer chefs in the kitchen. Now is the time to impress, not place the blame.

At the same time, it is hard to pick a front runner. It seems that a few chefs continue to linger on the line even though their mistakes keep mounting. Is it time to drop the hammer and bring in the big guns?
