Get glazed with new Krispy Kreme fall flavor doughnuts

Why have one fall flavor when you can have three. This season, the new Krispy Kreme fall flavor doughnuts might be the reason to skip the latte and embrace the glaze. Ready for three consecutive weeks of doughnut deliciousness?

Certain flavors are always tied to fall. While pumpkin spice might fill store shelves, it is the only option on the plate. Apple and maple are part of the sweet bounty. After all, pumpkin isn’t the only flavor to be harvested from the farm.

Starting on September 6, the fall flavors come to Krispy Kreme. For three consecutive weeks, the popular doughnut destination will feature three different fall flavors. The brand has given everyone an excuse to eat doughnuts three weeks in a row.

According to Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme, “Pumpkin Spice is great, but why stop there when there are so many more flavors to Fall. To help everyone truly embrace the tastes of the season, we’re adding two first-ever fall-inspired glazes with our popular Pumpkin Spice collection – each getting their own week this month.”

Which Krispy Kreme fall flavor doughnut will be your favorite?

Since Krispy Kreme isn’t limiting its fall flavors to just pumpkin, the two new flavors are Apple Cider Glaze and Maple Glazed. With each flavor getting its own week to shine, no one has to make the difficult decision to only choose one favorite.

Starting on September 6 through September 12, the Pumpkin doughnuts will be featured. The offerings are Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed, Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Cheesecake and Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnuts.

While these doughnuts are often served at breakfast, the Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Cheesecake makes for a great dessert. Although many people haven’t had their fill of that PSL, it might be better to choose a regular coffee as a beverage pairing. No one needs to go gourd-overboard.

The second fall flavor offering is Apple Cider Glazed doughnuts. This fall classic has Krispy Kreme giving their twist on the farm-style classic. The three offerings are Apple Cider Glazed, Apple Cider Glazed Original Filled Brown Sugar Kreme and Apple Cider Glazed Cake Doughnuts.

The Brown Sugar Kreme is an interesting choice for Krispy Kreme. While this flavor should be the perfect pairing for apple cider, the flavor could be used in other combinations as well. It will be interesting to see if the Brown Sugar Kreme makes another appearance in the doughnut box.

The Apple Cider Glazed Doughnuts will be available from September 13 through September 19. This flavor is brand new for this year.

Lastly, the other new flavor is the Maple Glazed doughnuts. Potentially the sweetest of all the fall flavor doughnuts, the three options are Maple Glazed, Maple Glazed Original Filled Maple Kreme and Maple Glazed Cake Doughnuts. For people who cannot get enough of that maple syrup flavor, these doughnuts will be a hit.

Since maple pairs well with other flavors, it might be nice to add some chopped walnuts as an extra garnish to this treat. Or, even serve the doughnuts with a slightly nutty coffee. A little additional flavor to balance the sweetness might be nice.

The new Maple Glazed doughnuts will be available from September 20 through September 26.
