While everyone has come to expect food their way at Burger King, the popular quick service restaurant just announced a major change. According to the company, Burger King menu ingredients, 120 menu ingredients to be exact, are being removed. It is a real change, and that real deal is something to celebrate.

More and more consumers are conscious about the food that is on their plate. While the concept of knowing your farmer might not apply to a quick service restaurant, choosing better ingredients has become a priority for many consumers.

According to Burger King, 120 artificial ingredients are being permanently removed from the BK menu. While this change might not be front and center as guests walk into a restaurant, the reality is that the change does impact every bite of food. Better tasting food is always paramount.

As Ellie Doty, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King North America said, “We know our guests’ expectations are changing, and they want to make choices they can feel good about. By banning these 120 ingredients from our food, we’re offering guests an easy choice – delicious food made with quality ingredients. We’re confident that our ongoing commitment to real food will not only provide guests with the food they’re looking for, but also set a standard for the industry overall.”

The Burger King menu ingredients change is the real deal

Building on this idea of not just your way, but also the real way, Burger King has announced new Keep It Real Meals. These celebrity meals are curated from the Real menu. The three celebrity meals are The Cornell Haynes Jr Meal aka NELLY, The Larissa Machado Meal aka Anitta and The Chase Hudson Meal aka LILHUDDY.

The Cornell Haynes Jr Meal, aka NELLY is the “classic flame-grilled Whopper topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo & ketchup, small fries and a small Sprite.” While that Whopper is flame grilled, it might not be quite so hot up in here. If you need a little more spice, add a little dash to that burger.

For those who want just what I like, the Larissa Machado Meal aka Anitta meal features “the Impossible Whopper with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard, small fries and a small Sprite.” It is definitely possible to enjoy this real meal more than once.

Lastly, the Chase Hudson Meal aka LILHUDDY is the boldest menu offering. Featuring “a hand-breaded Spicy Ch’King™ with cheese, 4 piece mozzarella sticks and a 16oz chocolate shake” there’s no missing piece in all this food enjoyment.

The Keep it Real Meals will be available on September 12 at participating restaurants while supplies last.
