While some parents might be longing for that precious Elf to remain in the North Pole a little longer, Kellogg’s cereal has unveiled its newest holiday cereal. The Elf on the Shelf Hot Cocoa Cereal will be hitting store shelves shortly. Ready to pour yourself a bowl?

Although the seasons seem to dictate certain flavors and favorite foods, the reality is that sometimes a new food comes a little earlier than the change in temperatures. From pumpkin spice arriving before school starts to holiday flavors coming before Halloween, sometimes those cravings need to be satisfied before the calendar page turns.

In many families, the Elf on the Shelf is a holiday tradition. While those elves might be a curious or mischievous group, the reality is that those elf antics serve as a reminder that someone is always watching, especially during the holiday season.

Previously, Kellogg’s released the Elf on the Shelf Sugar Cookie Cereal. A huge holiday hit, that flavor is returning for the holiday season. While is a sweet cereal, sometimes that little extra sugar is permissible during the holidays. Like a sometimes treat, the festive season is a reason to splurge a little.

New for this year is the Elf on the Shelf Hot Cocoa Cereal. This cereal combines “cocoa-coated star pieces” with white mini marshmallows. It is the cereal version of everyone’s childhood hot chocolate. Truthfully, the cereal milk at the bottom of the bowl will be the real treat.

While the flavors will be part of the reason why many people grab two boxes, others will purchase these holiday cereals as part of the daily “elf scenes.” When day 18 hits and that creativity is waning, this cereal might be the solution that parents need.

The Elf on the Shelf Hot Cocoa Cereal as well as the Elf on the Shelf Sugar Cookie Cereal will be available at various retailers starting soon. The cereals are limited time offerings, while supplies last.
