How to bring a little Hocus Pocus baking to the home kitchen

Since the Sanderson Sisters have become a Halloween staple, bringing a little Hocus Pocus baking to all the spooky festivities is a little easier this year. With these special baking kits, everyone can have a little sweet magic and hopefully not run amuck too much.

Over the years, Hocus Pocus has become a beloved Halloween movie staple. While many people eagerly await the upcoming sequel, there are many other ways to bring a touch of those wicked sisters into the real life.

While Disney Parks offer a wide range of Hocus Pocus themed treats and Carvel has announced its shakes as part of Freeform’s Halloween celebration, Walmart joining the excitement with exclusive Hocus Pocus baking kits.

According to the Walmart, the kits include the following:

  • Hocus Pocus Binx Cookie Kit ($5.47)
  • Hocus Pocus Spell Book Brownie Kit ($5.47)
  • Hocus Pocus Potion Bottle Cookie Kit ($5.47)
  • Hocus Pocus Hot Cocoa Bomb Kit ($5.47)

Looking at the various offerings, the Hot Cocoa Bomb Kit will be a huge hit. Even though cocoa bombs were everywhere last holiday season, people cannot get enough of these “magical” beverages.

The cupcake kit is probably the easiest for family baking/movie night. Everyone can be successful with this baking endeavor and not have a Nailed It moment.

While these baking kits are an easy way to bring a little Sanderson Magic to the Halloween table, these treats can help to transform and even bigger celebration. For example, there is an Unofficial Hocus Pocus Cookbook available on Amazon.

With numerous recipes that borrow inspiration from iconic moments and characters from the film, the ideas range from complex to relatively simple. While a few recipes might require a little extra magic to execute, it does offer some additional fun for movie night.

And, with the Walmart baking kits on the shelf, those items could be the simple solution to a Hocus Pocus dessert board. Sometimes the sweetness Halloween treats are the ones that do not require a lot of heavy lifting.
