After the excitement of being on their own begins to fade, college students crave the comforts of home. Parents weekend has come and gone, and the dorm room, college pressures and other items seem to mount. In the end, college students crave one thing, a home cooked meal.

According to a recent survey from Barilla, “over half of college students (55%) ranked homemade meals within the top three things they will miss most from home.” While college food has made great strides, the reality is that a home cooked meal is a plate of comfort like no other.

Add to that craving for a home cooked meal, the survey found that the second most favorite home made dish was pasta. Whether it is grandma’s gravy or just that little extra love seasoning, that plate of pasta warms the heart.

How can college students satisfy their craving for a home cooked meal?

For some lucky students in Madison, Wisconsin, they can order Barilla Home Away from Home Kitchen starting on October 19. One of four free meals can be ordered and delivered to their door. And, each order can have a taste of customization. From a little nutmeg in the sauce like grandma to a extra dash of red pepper flakes like dad, the options are many.

Meals include Rigatoni Carbonara, Lasagna, Spaghetti and Meatballs or Macaroni and Cheese. These pasta meals are considered the most popular. The meals will be delivered from October 25 through October 26.

For college kids longing for that home made bite, don’t miss the opportunity to place an order at www.BarillaHomeAwayFromHomeKitchen.com. The offer will be available from October 19 through October 22 while supplies last.
