First, parents might want to consider a specified candy eating time. While grazing all day might not be good for the waistline, all that continual candy eating isn’t good for the teeth either. Consider having a once a day candy time. This idea might not completely solve those “stealing problems,” but is it dentist approved.
As many adults have found, dark chocolate can be more satisfying. And, it seems that dark chocolate can be better for your teeth. Even if you didn’t want your kids to steel that special candy bar, it might be best to turn the kids to the dark side.
Although everyone has a favorite candy, some Halloween candy options are more perilous for tooth decay. For example, hard candy, like lollipops, can be harder on tooth health. Even though enjoying that lollipop all day long is tasty, it might be worse for wear on your teeth, sorry Kojak.
Another choice that might need to be enjoyed in moderation is gummy candies. The acidic qualities of those candies, especially those sour gummy candies, can contribute to tooth decay. It is another reason to say only one gummy a day.
