Gaylord Palms Snow Bar toasts the merriment of the season
As the Clausometer encourages everyone to bring their Christmas cheer, the Gaylord Palms Snow Bar pours festive holiday cocktails. While the elves might have their four favorite food groups, these special libations bring extra merriment to the festivities. Ready to raise a toast to saving Christmas?
This year, the Gaylord Palms is celebrating Mission: Save Christmas featuring Elf. Inspired by the classic holiday film, Elf, guests travel through the Candy Cane forest, help in Santa’s workshop, bake some cookies, shop at Gimbel’s and even throw a few snowballs along the way.
While the kids will be happy to spend some quality time tubing or building a snowball, the parents need their own moment of merriment. Luckily, the Gaylord Palms Snow Bar in the Snow Factory has a plethora of libations.
What seasonal cocktails are being served at the Gaylord Palms Snow Bar?
For each seasonal event, Nicole Cortes Rodriguez, Gaylord Palms Head Mixologist, shakes up creative and delicious cocktails. This holiday season, each of the six cocktails definitely brings the merriment. It is more than the red and green colors in the glass, the flavors blend tradition and innovation in every sip.
This holiday season there are six specialty beverages on the Gaylord Palms Snow Bar menu. A few have a nod to the traditional, like a seasonal take on a margarita, but others entice with a new twist.
Specifically, the Home for the Holidays is a creative take on the coquito. With a touch of matcha powder, the blend of sweet and a touch earthy lingers like a warm holiday memory. The first sip is a touch surprising, the second sip entices and, before you know it, the glass is empty and you’re longing for more.
If a big, bold cocktail is a preference. The Jolly Good Time has everyone feeling alright. Featuring Wild Turkey 101, the cocktail is a party in the glass. From the sugared rosemary to the hint of botanical flavors, it conjures walking through the Christmas tree trail and being dazzled by all the lights.
And, since some people cannot help but be a little naughty during the holidays, the Naughty Elf might be their top choice. The touch of brown sugar and the homemade whipped cream plays with the mischievous side. And, it is ok if there is a little whipped cream on your lip.
The Gaylord Palms bar program has proven that its specialty, seasonal cocktails are a reason to make a special visit. From innovative flavors to creative presentations, Cortes Rodriguez deserves an extra present under the tree this year.
Let the kids throw some snowballs, zoom down the snow hill and partake all the holiday festivities. The adults will be enjoying a libation at the Gaylord Palms Snow Bar and having their own moment of merriment. In the end, everyone will be spreading some Christmas cheer for all to hear and saving the holidays yet again.
