Universal Orlando holiday celebration offers the brightest merry of all
While there is always a little mischief in the merry, this year’s Universal Orlando holiday celebration shines brighter than ever. From the return of the nightly parade to the Wizarding World sparkling in its holiday magic, there are plenty of reasons to visit once, twice or thrice this holiday season.
For many people, theme parks capture the holiday festivities in the biggest and brightest ways. At every turn there is another twinkling light, over the top decoration or another taste of holiday joy.
With more and more people looking to celebrate larger this season, the Universal Orlando holiday celebration seems bigger and brighter than ever. Beyond the daytime decorations and merriment, nighttime is when the spirit shines brightly.
One of the must experience events of the holiday is the night parade featuring Macy’s Balloons. While everyone eagerly awaits Santa to light the tree, the favorite Universal characters and many friends traverse the park to share some holiday cheer.
From those dapper Madagascar penguins to the playful Minions, everyone is trying to earn top billing on Santa’s list. As the floats and balloons pass by every guests, the smiles grow more than three times big.
Speaking of growing, the Grinch is back on stage this year with Grinchmas. The classic holiday production has taken to a new stage and the Who’s have all of Who-ville ready for everyone to visit. Even if you can’t carry a tune, the classic songs will warm the heart. And, the Grinch can be really nice, you just have to get on his good side.

From a special viewing area for the holiday parade to getting to share some cookies and hot cocoa with The Grinch, those are just a few of the fun activities.
Many Universal fans love this tour because it comes with some special offerings that are unique to the holiday experience. The visit with Santa gives guests a chance to visit the Jimmy Fallon balcony and look down on the theme park. As the lights sparkle in the night sky, it is a view to remember. Make sure to look for the compass on the ground and learn its significance.
Another highlight of the Universal Orlando holiday tour is the private showing of the Harry Potter Nighttime Lights on Hogwarts. Being able to stroll through Hogsmeade with limited guests is a Harry Potter fan’s dream come true.
Whether it is sipping a hot Butterbeer wondering if a little extra magic could happen or laughing with friends while capturing the perfect photo, the whole evening seems just a little more special. Just don’t let the debate over the best Butterbeer beverage dampen the mood.
