Both locals and tourists were treated to overflowing holiday spirit in the City Beautiful. This year’s Orlando holiday festivities seemed to shine even more brightly this year. Whether it was people feeling grateful for time together or longing to find moments to celebrate, both the day and night sky seemed to be a beacon of hope.

From theme parks to resorts to special events, Orlando holiday festivities were plentiful. Even just driving around the tourist district seemed a little more merry this season. Although there have been an occasional moment where tensions boiled over, the majority of people seemed to be filled with the holiday spirit.

Here are some of the best Orlando holiday festivities of 2021.

A Night of a Million Lights at Give Kids the World Village

Tucked in a part of Orlando that few people see, the people at Give Kids the World Village might be considered the ultimate wish makers for some families. After driving onto the property, these families leave the medical worries at the gate and step into a world where yes is always the best answer.

This holiday season, the remarkable charity opened its community and welcomed guests to experience A Night of a Million Lights. As the sun sets and the lights illuminate the view, guests seem to believe that anything can be possible. For a few moments, the difficulties seem to fade from view and people cannot help but smile.

From a variety of decorative themed houses to the Christmas tree trail to even the dancing lights set to music, it is an evening where everyone forgets about the to-do list or the worries and just enjoys the moment. Sometimes those few hours can be the holiday family memories that are forever etched in the mind.

Universal Orlando

From the Wizarding World to the Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s Balloons, the merry and the mischief were in full effect this season. Even though the Grinch might have tried to sprinkle a little snarky comment here and there, the reality is that everyone was having that “whoa” moment this holiday season.

And, Earl the Squirrel has become the quintessential holiday character. Even if that Christmas tree lot might be a little busy, no one can resist a bag of his warm nuts.

Gaylord Palms

While it might not be quite as icy inside the Gaylord Palms, everyone is singing loud for all to hear. From exploring the Elf inspired experience to enjoying a cocktail in the Snow Bar, there are plenty of holiday experiences to enjoy at the Orlando resort destination.

Even just walking around the atrium is full of holiday delights. As the Cirque du Soliel performers soar in breathtaking movement to the decorated Christmas trees around the property, there is plenty of holiday spirit all around.

Walt Disney World Resort

From the Walt Disney World Resort hotels with their impressive gingerbread houses to the themes decorated with all their splendor, the holidays and Walt Disney World are always a delightful combination. Add to the experience the 50th anniversary celebrations and it is an even more special experience.

Of course, for many Walt Disney World fans seeing the Epcot Candlelight processional is a holiday tradition. As the orchestra plays, the trumpets call, the chorus sings and the narrator tells the classic tale, the holiday spirit fills the audience. No matter who stands behind the podium, it is the holiday event that is always a must.

JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa

For those who prefer to stay at a resort, the holiday elves at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa has plenty of holiday activities available. From cookie decorating to breakfast with Santa, there is plenty of fun to be had.

And, there are several Christmas dinner options. Sear + Sea will be open for Christmas Eve and Christmas night. The pre-fixe, multi-course dinner is a feast. Or, the Unreserved Beer Garden Christmas Buffet as a plethora of food to satisfy everyone. From a raw bar to carving stations, it is a feast fit for a king.

Overall, the Orlando holiday festivities prove that the City Beautiful has captured the spirit of the season once again. Ready to make plans for 2022?
