Sometimes a word, image or flavor can bring back a flood of moments. When that right now returns you to back then, that sense of nostalgia is a thirst that needs to be quenched. Luckily, Crystal Pepsi is back for a refreshing sip.

Did you know that Crystal Pepsi is celebrating its 30th anniversary? Although some people will remember that crystal clear taste, others might be experiencing that “You’ve never seen a taste like this” beverage for the first time. No matter the situation, it is time to open a bottle and enjoy that clear refreshment.

When Crystal Pepsi was introduced in 1992 and took over Super Bowl advertising in 1993, that “Right Now” excitement for the beverage of the moment was palatable. The new and different was just as enticing as the flavor. In some ways that beverage wove itself into pop culture.

Over the years, Pepsi has continued that conversation of blending its offerings into the pop culture space and capturing the trends of the moment. Given the sense of nostalgia for all things 90s, it is the perfect time to bring back the clear beverage for another run.

According to Todd Kaplan, Vice President of Marketing at Pepsi, “Since 2022 marks the 30-year anniversary of Crystal Pepsi, we wanted to do something extra special to celebrate and reward the passionate fans who have been clamoring online for its return. And what better way to kick off 2022 than to throw it back to 1992 in order to get their hands on this highly limited-edition batch of Crystal Pepsi.”

How can you get a taste of Crystal Pepsi?

To kick of 2022, Pepsi is asking people to show their love of the 90s. Whether that first crush was one of the guys from Saved by the Bell or you wore flannel every day to showcase your love of grunge, now is the time to bring out all those favorite moments.

And, for a few lucky people, it might be time to embarrass the younger members of the family. While your daughter might think that scrunchies are the perfect accessory for her Hydroflask or your son wanted to introduce to you the theme song of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the reality is that old is new again.

For anyone who wants to enjoy a little look back and forward, be sure to check out #ShowUsYour90s on Twitter. Using that hashtag, #PepsiSweeps and tagging Pepsi, people have a chance to win.

In some ways, everyone is a winner with this promotion. While these social media posts might not be as embarrassing as that yearbook picture, it will bring a few laughs and hopefully a few stories along the way.
