On a warm, sunny day, a glass of lemonade can be simply refreshing. Although that classic taste beckons, Simply Spiked Lemonade begs drinkers to pour a glass, sit a spell and taste a beverage that is ready to put the squeeze on RTD canned cocktail market.

Over the past several years, canned cocktails, hard seltzers and other ready to drink beverages have changed the beverage conversation. Even as many people learned to be more confident mixologists, there is something compelling about just pouring a cocktail into a glass.

While flavor trends try to push consumers beyond their comfort zone, many people crave that taste of the familiar. Even though new can be exciting, it cannot stray too far off the path. If a consumer cannot find a connection, the newest just becomes a gimmick.

Recently, Molson Coors has found the right balance of new yet rooted in the familiar. The success of the Topo Chico Hard Seltzer is a prime example. That iconic mineral water drives the flavor, yet the Topo Chico Hard Seltzer stands on its own.

What can drinkers expect from the Simply Spiked Lemonade?

As the name references, the Simply Spiked Lemonade transforms the popular Simply Lemonade into an alcoholic version. The beverage brand “known for real juice and big flavor” is ready to shake up a new conversation within the alcoholic beverage space.

Given that this offering is inspired by Coca-Cola’s Simply lemonades, the flavors have that bright, refreshing flavor that people expect. A touch sweet, a little tart, and quite refreshing, this RTD canned cocktail fills a segment that many people are thirsting for.

According to Molson Coors, the Simply Spiked Lemonade will be sold in a four flavor variety pack. The flavors are Strawberry Lemonade, Watermelon Lemonade, Blueberry Lemonade, and Signature Lemonade. In addition, select flavors will be available in 24oz cans.

With warmer weather ahead, backyard barbecues on the calendar and days at the beach planned, it appears that a new beverage will be filling the cooler. Ready to crack open a can of Simply Spiked Lemonade?
