After impressing with Next Level Burgers, Next Level Chef episode 6 tackles the favorite weekend dining experience, Sunday brunch. And, just like that, these cooks better whip up a plate worthy of the judges’ praises.

According to FOX, Next Level Chef episode 6, “Drop In For Brunch” features the following:

"Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais challenge their teams to create a Sunday brunch! Each team is randomly assigned to a kitchen, where they will need to prove that they can create magic in any environment, even when the odds are stacked against them. The best dish will keep one entire team safe from elimination, but one contestant will be sent home with their dreams up in flames in the all-new “Drop In For Brunch” episode of NEXT LEVEL CHEF airing Sunday, Jan. 30 (10:00-11:30 PM ET/ 9:00-10:30 PM CT/ 8:00-9:30 PM MT/ 7:00-8:30 PM PT) on FOX."

While Gordon Ramsay’s team has the least number of cooks, no one should underestimate their ability. After two rounds in the basement, a few of those cooks have proved that location does not impact well-executed cooking.

Thinking about this particular task, brunch could take on many forms. While waffles and something might not be the smartest choice, it could be a popular one. But, that dish needs to be more than contrasting textures.

Other traditional brunch dishes could be problematic, too. From executing a hollandaise sauce to ensuring those breakfast potatoes are crisp, there are plenty of ways to miss the mark.

In this competition so far, the dishes that have a little unique flavor or flavor seem to impress the judges. With brunch, the options run deep. There are so many ways to bring out bold flavors.

But, eggs could be a cook’s downfall. Everyone knows that chefs are very particular about eggs. If that ingredient is the twist, everyone better watch out.

Looking at the previews, it appears that one cook might miss putting a dish on the platform. Since this scenario hasn’t happened, there are many questions. Besides putting one team at a huge disadvantage, would that cook automatically be up for elimination? That big mistake could shift the competition in a different direction.

Next Level Chef episode 6, “Drop In For Brunch,” will air Sunday, January 30 at 10 p.m. on FOX.
