Epcot Festival of the Arts Encanto inspired food hits a flavorful note
While everyone might be singing about Bruno, the Epcot Festival of the Arts Encanto inspired food has many people to cheering. Located in the Vibrante and Vivido marketplace, the Encanto Cocina might be the highlight of the festival.
The film Encanto has delighted people. From the story to the music, the whole family has watched the movie over and over.
Although the movie gives a glimpse into the Colombian food and flavors, the Vibrante and Vivido marketplace gives Epcot guests an opportunity to taste that deliciousness. These Colombia inspired dishes have a touch of traditional and a nod to food innovation.
During a recent conversation with Disney chefs, one question had to be answered tasting the three menu items. Where are the arepas? Although the Disney chefs admitted that arepas were part of the conversation, they believe that these three dishes offer a wonderful representation of Colombia cuisine. From familiar to flavorful, no one will miss a bite of an arepa after trying these dishes.
What are the Epcot Festival of the Arts Encanto inspired food dishes?
Proving to be the most popular dish from this marketplace, the House-made Chorizo and Potato Empanada with Turmeric Aioli and Annatto Aioli is a big bite. In addition to being a substantially sized empanada, the flavor is robust. While the chorizo has richness, the potato adds balance. The contrasting aioli not only adds a vibrant color but a delightful flavor. Many people will be left asking, ready to order more?
While many people are running to get empanadas, the Spicy Ajicao Soup is the traditional dish on the menu. The Epcot version of the traditional Colombian soup is quite flavor. Although there is that “picante,” the flavor entices slurp after slurp.
Although there is that heat, the avocado and crème fraiche tame the flames. It doesn’t require a chilly day to enjoy this flavorful soup.
Lastly, the Passion Fruit Mousse is a delightful way to end this journey through Colombian cuisine. With a little dragon fruit jam on the plate, it blends sweet and tart. From the luscious texture to the brightness to end the meal, this dessert cannot be missed.
Also, there are a variety of beverages on the menu, too. From frozen cocktails to a non-alcoholic smoothie, the sips feature a variety of tropical flavors.
Epcot International Festival of the Arts runs now through February 21, 2022. Disney theme park reservations are required, and health and safety measures are implemented.
