As everyone awaits the big Taco Bell reward reveal on May 19, there is a sweet treat waiting for some Taco Bell guests. In a recent announcement, the Taco Bell Choco Taco is available. But, if you don’t act quickly, this special offer from Taco Bell and Klondike will melt away more quickly than ice cream on a hot day.

Over the past several months, Taco Bell has been pushing the food menu conversation forward. While the quick service restaurant brand has utilized its app to showcase its customization options, the personalization isn’t the only reason to make a run for the border.

From the return of favorite menu items to reward members receiving that first taste, there are plenty of reasons to run when the bell call. And, with the most recent collaboration with Klondike, there is a sweet ending to that favorite meal.

As Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer, Liz Matthews, said “To bring back such a nostalgic favorite after a seven-year absence is special and to do it during our 60th anniversary was the perfect fit.” Adding to that sentiment, Russel Lilly, Vice President, Unilever Ice Cream United States said, “We’re thrilled to partner with Taco Bell to help bring the Klondike Choco Taco to taco lovers that would do just about anything for this sweet treat.”

According to the quick service restaurant, the Taco Bell Choco Taco collaboration will be available at the following locations:

The addition of the Choco Taco, even for a limited time, seems to show the importance of having dessert options on the menu. Although those cinnamon twists are tasty and no one can resist the Taco Bell filled donut holes in the morning, the reality is that many people want a sweet ending to the meal. Whether it is to douse the flames from that Diablo sauce or just satisfying a sweet tooth, it is smart for quick service restaurants to have options on the table.

Although this offering is limited, many people can hope that it will expand. Given that this year marks the 100th anniversary of Klondike, there could be an opportunity for a big splash this summer. Just think of the promotions.

And, given that it is Taco Bell’s 60th anniversary, this special limited time offer could be just the start for the quick service restaurant. Could there be a new MTN DEW Baja Blast flavor in the works for summer?
