There is a new way to satisfy that Made to Crave menu from Wendy’s. In a recent announcement, the brand has expanded to a new location. Are you ready to step into the metaverse and get a new taste of that fast food done right?

Quick service restaurants are always looking for a way to foster brand loyalty. While reward programs help to give early access, special discounts or even unique offers, it isn’t the only way to keep that connection strong. Finding ways to integrate that brand into people’s lives is vital.

Over the years, Wendy’s has offered numerous special experiences. From Halloween transformations to celebrating March Madness, those events show how the home of those iconic square burgers is part of the pop culture collective. Being a fan of that quick service restaurant is more than just enjoying a meal.

In a recent company announcement, Wendy’s is stepping into the metaverse. The 3D virtual world opens the door to an opportunity where the company and fans can interact.

According to Carl Loredo, chief marketing officer for The Wendy’s Company, this idea builds on the company’s “unique approach to social media, gaming and engagement.” Specifically, he said, “We’re excited to take this to the next level by launching the Wendyverse in Meta’s Horizon Worlds and bringing a totally new dimension of access to our fans. Truly a first of its kind, the Wendyverse bridges the best of today with tomorrow to show up for our fans across every world – with a Frosty and fries in hand.”

Starting on April 2, people can enter this community creator world. From playing a game in The Buck BiscuitDome to stepping into the kitchen to flip those square burgers, it gives everyone a new taste of the famous flavors that they expect from Wendy’s.

While this announcement is rooted in the virtual world, the quick service restaurant is giving guests a treat in the real world, too. From April 1 through May 1, the Buck Biscuit is back. Available both in restaurant and on the app, guests can get a Sausage  or  Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit for only $1.

As Wendy’s steps into this virtual space, it will be interesting to see how and when other quick service restaurants follow. While the virtual world creates many opportunities, it cannot exist without the craving for that food in the real world. Just think if that augmented reality could predict the perfect moment to satisfy that craving for that irresistible Baconator.
