With four bakers remaining in the Spring Baking Championship Season 8 finale, the last challenges will determine who will walk away with the Food Network title. Even though this season has had a few ups and downs, the final episode is must watch food television.

According to Food Network, the Spring Baking Championship Season 8 finale, “All About Family” features the following:

"The remaining four bakers are part of the Spring Baking Championship family now, so host Molly Yeh delves into family history in the final challenges, requesting a cherished family recipe and an heirloom wedding cake. Judges Kardea Brown, Nancy Fuller and Duff Goldman crown one baker the Spring Baking Champion and award the sweet $25,000 prize!"

After the penultimate episode aired, many people were not happy that Tom was eliminated. Over the course of the season, Tom impressed the judges with his impeccable flavors. Even though his decorating skills were a little wonky, the desserts will not be forgotten. Unfortunately, the competition is too stiff to overlook the decorating aspect.

At the same time, some people wonder whether Caroline’s second chance would have changed Spring Baking Championship Season 8 finale. Given that no previous season offered a baker this type of second chance, it is curious how this aspect impacts not only this season but future seasons.

Although other food television shows, like Top Chef, offer that second chance competition, this scenario was different. It was judges’ choice. Maybe being a favorite does have its privileges.

Still, looking at the finalists, it seems Romy might have the edge. Throughout the season, he has impressed with amazing flavors and gorgeous designs. Even though there might be a few missteps, those items were still quite good. It could be his competition to lose.

Be sure to watch the Spring Baking Championship Season 8 finale Monday, May 2 at 8 p.m. ET on Food Network or stream it on Discovery+.
