The newest Cheez-It flavor embraces its bold spicy side
While the old phrase of can’t stand the heat better get out of the kitchen might take on some new meaning for snack fans. The new Cheez-It Snap’d Scorchin’ Hot Cheddar takes bold, spicy flavors to a whole new level. Are people ready for this new extreme flavor?
When Cheez-It introduced the Snap’d line, many people jumped at the chance to taste that crunchy, crispier version of the classic snack. Whether eaten by the handful or topping a sandwich as a crunch layer, it seemed that a bag was often within reach.
Looking at the Cheez-It Snap’d line, there have been a variety of flavors. Although people tend to have their taste preferences, no one wants that snack to become stale. Given that fiery food continues to be on trend, this newest offering adds another layer to both snacking and lunchtime.
As Erin Storm, senior marketing director of Cheez-It, said, “With the debut of Cheez-It Snap’d Scorchin’ Hot Cheddar, we’re spicing up lunchtime and sending taste buds on a fiery, cheesy ride — making an unskippable lunch experience with a blazing kick.”
Looking at the flavor profile, it is a bold heat but not so extreme where people want a glass of milk within reach. It offers that “tingle” but it invites the return bite. It is more than just spicy for extreme sake. The flavor has that craveable balance.
Given that this new flavor is launching just ahead of the summer, it is interesting that the focus is on lunch. Whether it is heading back to the office or the insatiable appetite of kids on summer vacation, lunch becomes more of a production. And, big, bold flavor makes that meal even more enjoyable.
Thinking about this new flavor, it would be quite tasty on a traditional cold cut sandwich. In addition, it would be delicious on top of a hamburger. Or, if there are some broken pieces at the bottom of the bag, consider using it as a coating for chicken. Basically, there are plenty of reasons to purchase two bags.
The Cheez-It Snap’d Scorchin’ Hot Cheddar will be available just for the summer. The new product should be hitting store shelves this month. Check with retailers for availability.
