Instacart believes that these food trends have changed how people eat
As Instacart celebrates 10 years of grocery shopping convenience, the company has seen many food trends come and go. Although some people are always ready to try the next great find, a few items have become part of the food and culture collective. From beverages to social media influences, the food world has come a long way in the past 10 years.
While some people were first adopters, the rise of the online grocery shopping has become the norm. Beyond the convenience, this shopping method can help people both streamline their purchases and potentially avoid that “impulse buy.”

Recently, Instacart compiled 10 food trends over the past 10 years. According to Laurentia Romaniuk, Instacart’s Trends Expert, foodies have embraced new foods as much as they have rediscovered the simplicity of great flavor. Specifically, Romaniuk said, “the next ten years will surely bring new trendy food and beverage items and perhaps even a new outlook on how we think about food especially as it relates to health, sustainability and eating with ethos.”
