While Spring brings beautiful blooms, that picturesque view would not be possible without the bees. On May 20, World Bee Day, it is time to start buzzing about new solutions and commitments to help the pollinators. KIND is promising to incorporate more bee-friendly practices.

Although many people appreciate the integral part that bees play in nature, their role in the food world is vital. Beyond the honey that goes in that cup of tea or sweetens a recipe, the bees help many foods that people enjoy on a daily basis.

Even as more people look to evolve bee-friendly practices, the effort needs to grow. From large companies to individuals, each component can join together to create a buzz that turns into a movement.

KIND is committing to make a difference. Since almonds are vital to its products, KIND is supporting almond farmers and looking to promote bee-friendly practices that can sustain larger change.

As Russell Stokes, CEO of KIND, said, “Pollinators, like bees and butterflies, are central to the plant-based ingredients that many of KIND’s products depend on. We are excited about the leadership we’ve seen from the almond grower community over the past few years to expedite the transition to bee-friendly practices.” With a 2025 target date, the hope is to exceed that goal as well as find additional methods to assist the overall goal.

For World Bee Day, KIND is co-hosting a virtual TikTok party. While the event will be fun, the idea is to continue the conversation beyond that quick social media engagement. Whether it is educating people on the importance of pollinators to the California almond crop or being thoughtful with planting in the backyard, each and every element needs to come together to ensure that the bees are flying well into the future.

Next time you grab that KIND bar, take a moment to say thank you to the bees. They are flavoring the food in your life more than what you realize.
