Delicious ways to celebrate National Dole Whip Day
While many people love enjoying that refreshing treat at Disney Parks, National Dole Whip Day doesn’t have to be celebrated just within the theme park gates. From a sweet surprise to whipping up the recipe at home, there are plenty of ways to enjoy that dessert.
From the tropical delight enjoyed in Hawaii to the storied connection with Disney, the Dole Whip has long been part of food culture. Even if someone cannot recall that Dole’s sponsorship of the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland sparked a legendary connection, many people have heard of this simple, iconic dessert.
Over the years, the Dole Whip has evolved. While the classic version will never be far from reach, newer versions invigorate the eating experience. From Typhoon Lagoon’s Dole Whip bar to special serving vessels, there is seemingly no limit on how the fruity dessert can evolve.
Although some people will want to enjoy a Dole Whip at their favorite Disney Parks, it isn’t the only way to enjoy National Dole Whip Day. For people in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, a free sweet could be theirs.
According to Dole Packaged Foods, the brand will be giving away free DIY Dole Whip Kits. Included in the kit is “DOLE Canned 100% Pineapple Juice, DOLE Frozen Tropical Gold Pineapple Chunks, Dole Frozen Mango Chunks, oat milk, and an easy-to-follow dairy-free Dole Whip recipe, all packaged up in a branded tote with a bowl and spoon.”
To win one of these DIY Dole Whip Kits, be sure to watch @DoleSunshine on Twitter. More information on how to enter will be shared on July 21.
For people who are not located in those three cities do not have to be left out on the National Dole Whip Day celebration. The DIY Dole Whip recipe is online. The non-dairy, vegan, gluten-free recipe is a classic dessert which anyone can master. Now, when that craving hits, it does not require a plane ticket to satisfy it.
If a twist on the classic is preferred, DOLE has several other at-home versions that are quite tasty. From a Dark Chocolate Dole Whip to a DOLE Berry Banana Fro-Whip, there are several variations.
How will you be celebrating National Dole Whip Day? Do you always have a Dole Whip when visiting Disney Parks?
