For many guests of the Wizarding World, a visit is not complete without a sip of a Butterbeer. While people can debate which version of Butterbeer is the best, there has been one aspect that has been missing from the Universal theme park experience. Are you thirsty for this big Butterbeer change?

Butterbeer can be enjoyed in many ways. From the classic version to frozen to hot, everyone can pick their pleasure. Although each version has a slightly different sweetness level, all beverages are quite enjoyable.

According to a recent statement from Universal, Butterbeer can now be served without the foam. While that one change might not seem like a lot, it gives a whole new audience an opportunity to enjoy the Harry Potter.

The foam on a Butterbeer has dairy. Although that topping adds a lusciousness to the sipping enjoyment, it narrows the drink’s audience. For those who prefer or cannot have dairy, the iconic drink was off the menu. With the Butterbeer change, now more people can sip on that magical beverage.

This latest change is another example how Universal theme parks have embraced offering vegan food offerings. For many years, the Universal chefs have found creative, flavorful ways to bring more vegetarian and vegan menu items to the theme parks. Whether it is a special seasonal event or standard offering, these types of options are imperative to an inclusive food environment.

Although Universal has variety, one item seems to be missing from the menu. Is there a plant-based ice cream that could be served at Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour? The menu has a robust selection, but a plant-based ice cream option could make even more people happy. Maybe this new food will be coming soon. Until then, the non-foam Butterbeer will have to suffice.
