There is a big “dill” at Sonic. Two fan favorite pickle menu items are back for a limited time. If you cannot get enough of that tangy taste, it is time to put the car in gear and head to the drive-in.

With the recent announcement, many people are running to Sonic Drive-In to enjoy their favorite pickle menu items. As Mackenzie Gibson, Vice President of Culinary & Menu Innovation at Sonic said, “Our pickle-forward menu innovations have become some of our most popular, so much so that they’ve often sold out quicker than we anticipated.”

What Sonic pickle menu items are back for a limited time?

Now through August 28, participating Sonic Drive-In locations will offer Pickle Juice Slush and the Big Dill Cheeseburger. While the Pickle Juice Slush had everyone talking when it first hit menus, its return is just as exciting. This sweet and tart flavor was the beverage that many people picked to beat the heat.

While the salty dill pickle flavor is apparent, the sweet slush makes for a balanced sip. Just like a touch of salt makes sweet more enjoyable, the dill pickle flavor is a similar approach. Truthfully, it is a beverage that needs to be tried at least once.

Also, that pickle juice flavoring can be added to any Sonic beverage. While some flavor combinations might be a miss, the opportunity to experiment with flavors can be welcomed by some.

In addition to the Pickle Juice Slush, the Big Dill Cheeseburger is back. After a sold-out launch in April, this special burger was more successful than anyone had anticipated.
