While Beat Bobby Flay has been a Food Network staple, the new culinary competition, Bobby’s Triple Threat, has the celebrated chef flipping the script. With Flay calling the shots, is there a chef who can take down these culinary titans?

Culinary competitions have become a mainstay in Food Network programming. From the seasonal championships to the Tournament of Champions, chefs at all levels want to hoist those coveted titles.

While the competition is the focus, there are plenty of food and cooking lessons to be learned along the way. Who has picked up some spice tips from Maneet Chauhan or learned a flavor technique from Antonia LoFaso? Engaging an audience is key to keeping them watching and hungry for more.

With the new show Bobby’s Triple Threat, it seems to be a twist on Beat Bobby Flay, Iron Chef and Tournament of Champions. While Flay might be calling the shots, the competing chefs better be ready for battle.

Per the Food Network announcement, each competitor must take on a culinary titan, namely, Tiffany Derry, Michael Voltaggio and Brooke Williamson. While each round has different requirements, the reality is that earning a victory may not be easy.

Looking at the titans, these chefs know their way to victory in culinary competitions. Even though each one has much success in their own restaurant settings, the food television kitchen is different, and it is a skill that they have acquired. That ability to adapt and execute under time constraints is key.

According to Flay, “I have spent my entire career opening restaurants and battling in the toughest culinary competitions, but on Triple Threat I have the chance to call all the shots, inviting the most talented chefs into my secret kitchen to take on my titans. You want to be the best; you must get through my triple threat.”

Although the competing chefs have not been announced, it will be interesting to see the caliber of talent willing to take this challenge. Given the success of Beat Bobby Flay, there should be plenty of chefs who want that moment of kitchen glory.

Bobby’s Triple Threat is set to premiere on Tuesday, September 27th at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network. There will be six, one hour episodes.
