Blast off with Artemis and these space themed cocktails
As everyone watches Florida’s Space Coast and the Artemis launch, the special occasion is reason to raise a toast to the most powerful rocket to launch yet. People living on the Space Coast might see the sky glimmer as the various launches fill the calendar. But, this one event is the first step to putting people back on the moon and heading to Mars. With those big goals, it is best to blast off with some flavorful space theme cocktails.
While Florida brewers might have space theme beers and Elysian has Space Dust beer, some people prefer to shake up a little stronger beverage. Luckily the Kennedy Space Center Space Bar has both unique cocktails, local food and an amazing view for any of those rocket launches.
For the Artemis Launch, Space Bar will be shaking up some special space theme cocktails. Since not everyone will be able to watch the launch in person, why not sip on a drink or two at home. Luckily, the Titusville locale shared their special drinks for everyone to try.
Space theme cocktails that are a celestial sip
Courtesy of Kennedy Space Center Space Bar, there are four recommended spaced theme cocktails to try for this special occasion or anytime that you want to bring a touch of the galaxy to the everyday. After all, sometimes there is a need to sparkle and shine like the night sky.
Cosway Cosmo
A combination of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Fresh Lime, and Cranberry Hibiscus, the flavor is bright and refreshing. With a touch of edible glitter, this cocktail has the drinker staring a little while longer. Even as the last sip enjoyed, that little touch of the unknown lingers in the mind.
Intergalactic Planetary
For those people longing to take a big trip, this cocktail feels like a getaway in a sip. Combining Absolut Citron, Malibu Coconut Rum, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur and Blue Curacao, the first sip will not be the last. Just be careful with this cocktail, it packs a big punch.
Sky Rockets in Flight
While this cocktail might have some people thinking of a song, this cocktail has a little extra. The combination of Herradura Silver Tequila, triple sec, fresh lime, white peach and a Rocket Pop as a flavor might have a hint of the familiar, but it is definitely one that has a drinker soaring in the clouds.
The Space Shuttle
Even though the space icon, the Space Shuttle, has been retired, this cocktail reimagines the idea of an aperitif. While the Woodford Reserve Bourbon is a classic, the Aperol brings a brightness that keeps the cocktail refreshing. Combined with Amaro Nonino and Fresh Lemon Juice, it is a great sip to start the night.
For those in the Space Coats, head to the rooftop and enjoy a cocktail or shake up one at home. Could commercial space travel be the next great frontier?
