Although the first sip came in August, those warm, comforting spices that Pumpkin Spice fans crave may never have left the cup. According to Keurig, fall’s favorite flavor might transcend the seasons. Are people really brewing that seasonal flavor all year long?

Recently, Keurig analyzed a variety of data to gain some insight into the pumpkin spice obsession. While the various offerings have nuanced differences in flavors, the reality is that a few common threads bring them all together. Those warm pie spices with a hint of sweetness are a comforting combination.

Often considered a fall flavor, the reality is that the craving for a comforting taste is not limited by the calendar. As told by the Keurig Insights Tracker, “60% of everyone’s autumnal latte is consumed throughout the rest of the year.” Simplify stated, more PSLs are drunk outside of fall.

Here’s how the data breaks down for pumpkin spice fans

  1. October
  2. January
  3. November
  4. September
  5. February
  6. May
  7. December
  8. March
  9. April
  10. August
  11. July
  12. June

According to Annie Oh, VP, Keurig Experiences, “We always knew Keurig customers loved Pumpkin Spice, but little did we know they loved drinking it all year long. Clearly this so-called “seasonal” favorite is anything but. With fall fast approaching and many national and local coffee houses already selling the popular drink, Keurig customers can take advantage of brewing Pumpkin Spice whenever they want from home with Keurig’s range of Pumpkin Spice K-Cup pods.”

Whether it is Martha Stewart proclaiming her love of the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters pumpkin spice offerings that are free of artificial ingredients or a STOK pumpkin spice cold brew, the shelves are well stocked with plenty of options. From that favorite mug from your kids or a gigantic travel mug that keeps the coffee warm all morning long, it is time to brew up a warm, comforting flavor that is enjoyable regardless of the season.

Even though the seasonal flavors are highlighted at one time during the year, there might be an argument to keep it around a little longer. Or, maybe it is just a reason to stock up before the favorite flavor disappears.

Do you agree that pumpkin spice fans sip the flavor all year long or do you wait for that first taste of fall to brew a cup?
