For many families, Smucker’s Uncrustables is a lunch box staple. While that PB&J sandwich can come in many flavors, sometimes a heartier bite is craved. The new Smucker’s Uncrustables Meat and Cheese Bites offer another option that both kids and adults are hungry to try.

School lunches can be hard. Even though kids have favorite foods, parents might want for them to avoid having the same food every day. On the other side, parents do not want kids to just throw away food that they refuse to eat. That lunch box is the ultimate balancing act.

With the new Smucker’s Uncrustables Meat and Cheese, the two new flavors seem to appeal to a wide audience. The Uncured Ham and Cheddar and the Turkey & Colby Jack are classic flavors. More importantly, the combination of cheese and proteins ensure that each flavor comes through in a bite.

As Chris Achenbach, Director of Brand Strategy, The J.M. Smucker Co. said “Kids and parents love the fun flavors that began with PB&J. To offer an even wider variety, we have now added tasty, wholesome meat & cheese bites that are perfect for the lunchbox.”

In addition, the ability to thaw in the lunchbox and be ready when the kids are ready to eat adds the convenience that families crave. Whether it is the hurried morning that necessitates the grab and go or the ease of planning, having Uncrustables in the freezer is one less thing to worry about.

Expanding the Uncrustables line to include a protein and cheese option is smart. Given that families are familiar with the original product they might be more willing to buy that new flavor. Even if it does not completely replace that PB&J, having lunchbox options is important.

The new Smucker’s Uncrustables Meat and Cheese Bites will hit store shelves in October. Check with local retailers for availability and more information can be found online at www.smuckersuncrustables.com.
